Isnt it great when you get on a topic like this and your heart churns because you feel a certain way about that topic but you just cant explain it and someone says or writes something that makes you yell "thats what I'm trying to say!" Eric, you and I know that for too long, by those means he describes (legalism, moralism and all the other isms) churches have tried to guilt a person into doing right. Aint happening! The Bible doesnt quantify our righteousness. It says that everyone's righteousness is like filthy rags (no matter how good you think you are). Without faith in, and love for a God that truly cares, like Manning describes, what are we left with besides rules that are impossible for us to keep? Awesome!
